Scattering laser light from two resonant quantum dots in a photonic crystal waveguide

چکیده

We demonstrate the scattering of laser light from two InAs quantum dots coupled to a photonic crystal waveguide, which is achieved by strain-tuning optical transitions into mutual resonance. By performing measurements intensity and photon statistics transmitted before after tuning resonance, we show that nonlinearity enhanced dots. In addition providing means manipulating few-photon nonlinearities, our approach establishes opportunities for multiemitter optics in solid-state platform.

Coupled-cavity two-dimensional photonic crystal waveguide ring laser

Coupled-cavity hexagonal ringlike photonic crystal lasers are fabricated as a class of single mode photonic crystal laser light sources. The structures are formed by placing one missing hole nanocavity H1 type between each two segments at 60° that form the hexagonal ringlike photonic crystal laser. The H1 cavities act as a mode filter, clamping the frequency of emission of the laser device. The...

Two-dimensional photonic crystal hexagonal waveguide ring laser

Hexagonal ring-type resonators defined by two-dimensional photonic crystal waveguides are proposed and demonstrated. Lasing actions are observed from the photonic crystal ring resonator patterned on a free-standing slab with InGaAsP active layers emitting near 1.55 mm. For a ring resonator with 8-mm diameter, the threshold peak pump power is ;3 mW. The quality factor of the ring resonator mode ...

Quantum theory of a resonant photonic crystal

We present a quantum model of two-level atoms localized in a three-dimensional lattice based on the Hopfield polariton theory. In addition to a polaritonic gap at the excitation energy, a photonic band gap opens up at the Brillouin zone boundary. Upon tuning the lattice period or angle of incidence to match the photonic gap with the excitation energy, one obtains a combined polaritonic and phot...

Thermal Effects Study on Stimulated Brillouin Light Scattering in Photonic Crystal Fiber

we investigate the temperature-dependences of the Brillouin frequency shift in three different kind of single-mode fibers using a heterodyne method for sensing temperature. Positive dependences coefficients of 0.77, 0.56 and 1.45MHz/0C are demonstrated for 25 km long single-mode fiber, 10 km long non-zero dispersion shifted fiber and 100 m photonic crystal fiber, respectively. The results indic...
